DataFARMS combines soil, plant, compost, climatic and field-management data into a unified DSS. The system was developed under real operational farming conditions and focuses on improving nutrient management, soil health, plant monitoring, and circular reuse of organic materials. Methodology The UC integrates environmental records, laboratory analyses, geospatial information and farmer- generated data into interoperable datasets and DSS logic. The mobile GIS app enables georeferenced field observations, real-time monitoring of plants and plots, image uploads for expert assessment and spatial intervention history tracking. The platform incorporates thematic soil fertility maps, compost quality assessment and pest/disease risk mapping. Output • Modular DSS for nutrient and soil-health management • Mobile GIS application for real-time farm monitoring • Standardized metadata and harmonized datasets • Soil fertility and pest-risk spatial maps • Transfer toolkit for replication in other European farming systems • Interoperable data structures compatible with FMIS and EU data ecosystems Impact DataFARMS addresses the emerging challenge of managing complex mixed-farming systems where multiple crops coexist with different nutrient requirements, disease risks, and management needs under the same environmental conditions. The UC develops a transferable data-driven framework for agroecological and diversified farming systems, combining interoperable datasets, spatial monitoring, and DSS logic into a unified operational management tool for agriculture. What we can offer • Expertise in soil health, nutrient management, compost valorisation, and DSS development • Operational pilot environments for mixed Mediterranean farming systems • Interoperable datasets and metadata structures • GIS-based monitoring tools and spatial analysis methodologies • Collaboration on digital agriculture, sustainability assessment, and soil-health monitoring • Experience in linking research outputs with practical farm-level implementation What we need We are looking for collaboration with: • AI and analytics experts for predictive modelling and automated advisory services • Pilot sites in different agro-climatic regions for validation and replication • Partners working on integrated crop-animal systems and livestock data integration for future expansion of the DSS toward more complex agroecological farming environments • Stakeholders interested in harmonized agricultural datasets and scalable DSS architectures
